Exploration in Singapore
On March 7-10, 2017, 32 students went to Singapore for an exploration programme. We would like to thank Ms. Corita, Mr Ferdinand, Ms. Annisa and Mr. Peter Wang for this wonderful programme. In Singapore, we learnt a lot of things. The best part of our trip was going to two schools, ISS and HWA because we made more friends. We went to UN Women Community where we learnt more about gender equality. We also went to Singapore Civil Defence where we met a very old fireman. He explained to us how Singapore protects its citizens from disasters. We also went to Marina Bay Sands' Gardens by the Bay. We stayed in Oasia Hotel. We also went to Chinatown. We went to the Buddhist temple. We realised that people in Singapore are free to choose their own religion. We also had a pajama party. In Singapore, we became more responsible and independent. We hope we could come back to Singapore in the future.
Trip to Bali
On March 7, 2017, I (Carina) went to Bali for an exploration programme. First, we stayed at Green Camp which is a camp that has bamboo huts. It was really fun, and I enjoyed it.
My favourite activities in Green Camp were the coconut tree climbing, the Night Safari and the camp fire. I liked the coconut tree climbing because I like climbing tall trees. I loved the Night Safari because I got to hold a praying mantis and a frog's hand. I like frogs, and that's why I enjoyed it. I liked the camp fire because of the campfire game, but I didn't enjoy eating the marshmallows.
My favourite thing at the time we stayed at a hotel was the Devdan Show and the mud wrestling. I liked the Devdan Show because it was really eye-catching, and in some parts it was funny. I loved the mud wrestling. I liked it because it was so fun, and I liked sticking my head in the mud and swimming in it like a swimming pool.
I learned a lot in Bali like their dances, traditions, their way of life.

After the performance,we continued to the booths.Their transdiciplinary theme was "Where we are in Place and Time". They talked and explained about inventions that make us comfortable when we are travelling. Some examples of these inventions are a perfume that makes us sleep and a ball that that makes us calm down, it is called a stress ball. Their PYP exhibition helped us with making the research and the action poster.
